Mission Statement

It’s 2026, and a goal I had for this year is to start phasing away from installing and start focusing more on running (and growing) a business. I’ve been listening to books - often out of procrastination from actually starting to run the business, about business management. One of the key components of establishing a roadmap for growth, among the concensus, is to have a mission statement. A simple description of what your business is, and what you want it to be. I’ve thought about that a lot and can’t narrow it down, so I have a few:

  1. To provide home owners and business owners with natural surfaces throughout the home and office, regardless of budget.

This matters a lot to me. We live in a world where viels are falling and our understanding of health, nutrition and wellness is constantly evolvong. We’re learning the true cost of “cheap” - cheap foods, cheap cars, cheap…flooring. Time and time again I see people place $1/sf discounter/liquidator provided LVP down throughout their house without batting an eye. With little regard to where it came from and how it was made. I don’t want to be a part of that. I want everyone, regardless of budget, to have a safe all natural option. I procure a bespoke range of natural flooring options across all price points - there’s a proven and safe option for everyone.

2. To make floors fun again.

I grow tired of plank flooring and blah carpets. I want to do something creatve and stimulating every time, not only to keep myself interested, but so my customer can have something uniquely theirs to come home to, something to take pride in and cherish over the years,

3. To do awesome things for people.

To grow this business to the point where philathropic efforts can be a substantial segment of the business. I know that’d take a lot for a small flooring company, but that gives me the motivation to grow it. I saw the impact my parents made in so many people’s lives just with what little gestures of benevolence they were in a position to provide - free gym memberships, employment, sponsorships for youth teams; my parents contributed to their community in both their time and financial resources as best they could.

So in conclusion, I’m going to give a stab at my mission statement:

Ingrained Floorcovering Solutions is a bespoke wood and carpet contractor specializing in distinctive, handcrafted flooring and custom wood solutions. Our mission is to create unforgettable floors people are proud to live on, while doing excellent work for our clients and our community.

Maybe thats the winner, will keep flushing it out.
